Having had to close at the beginning of the pandemic, we reviewed our operation in line with government guidelines for day centres and have implemented various COVID secure measures. This allowed us to reopen in July 2020.

We are now open 5 day a week with an appointment-based service. We carefully manage the number of people in the Centre at any one time ensuring that we operate safely and can be COVID secure. The safety and welfare of everybody is vital, and consequently some of our services are suspended but remain under review.

If you find yourself in need of our services, please call the Centre to book an appointment or come along during our core hours of 10am-3pm (11-1pm in lockdown*). However, if a member of staff is not available you will be given an appointment and asked to return.

*During lockdown the Centre is open but on reduced hours (11am-1pm) with staff working from home.

The Centre provides the following much needed and valued services for our clients:

Facilities

  • IT access
  • Clothing
  • Clinic room – for use by health care professionals
  • Laundry
  • Showers
  • Food*
  • Hairdresser*

Casework

  • Budgeting support
  • Accommodation support
  • Advocacy support
  • Benefit support
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Develop tailored support plans to build independence and self-esteem

*currently suspended due to COVID19 – these are reviewed periodically subject to advice and guidance
