Hope4 Seeking a Permanent Base July 2011

This is to inform you of an important development in the ongoing charitable work of Hope 4 (Rugby) Ltd.

The Directors of Hope 4 (Rugby) Ltd are looking to move toward the purchase of a property to consolidate the ongoing work of the Charity. To achieve this goal we will need to raise at least £300,000. There are a number of reasons behind our decision. These include:

1) Securing a permanent base for Hope 4's ministry in Rugby over at least the next decade. Basically for what we could spend on rent over the next ten years we can purchase a property that will consolidate our presence in Rugby for the forseeable future.
2) A Foodbank in Rugby. Hope 4 are also planning- in partnership with the REVIVE network of churches - to expand the Hope 4U services we already provide to incorporate a Trussell Trust foodbank distribution point. This will help families in crisis in our town.
3) The wider statistics of homelessness in Britain. These are also a factor in this decision. The proposed new housing benefit cuts alone will - according to independent observers - be adding significantly to the numbers of homeless and badly housed people among us in the next few years. It is all the more vital therefore that those of us who support Hope 4 plan carefully both to protect and consolidate the services we can provide.
 4) Integrating the work of Hope 4U and the Hope Centre in one building from 2013.

The Hope 4 Directors hope then to be in a position to purchase a property by the end of 2012. We have therefore set up a Task Group to raise the necessary funds for this purchase. We are looking for up to three additional volunteers to work with the group Convenor Mike Foster to help make all of this happen. We are particularly looking for people with proven fund-raising expertise but someone to help with administration is also needed.

If you have a passion to help those who are homeless or badly housed in the Borough and have some relevant skills or fund raising experience then please contact us (email admin@hope4.org.uk).
